There is an enterprise night in the 4 Seasons in Monaghan Town, on Thursday the 2nd of April at 7pm.  The opening address will be by Martin McVicar MD from Combi Lift, there will also be an opportunity to talk to other business people from around County Monaghan.  If you have a business or interested in starting a business just turn up on the evening, it will be an opportunity to talk to people  and get advice of people who are running businesses.

We are coming to the end of our occupation of the Priest’s House in Lisdoonan, we moved in here 11 years ago in June when we were looking for premises for the company. A combination of events has resulted in us acquiring a building in Carrickmacross, which coincidentally was also a priest’s house. It requires a make over including electrics and networks which I will come back to at a later stage. One of the things I would like to do in the short term is find an environmentally friendly way of getting rid of old carpets, built in wardrobes, baths and sinks. Does anyone have any ideas in relation to how I might dispose of them – other than a skip?

On completion of the last course in CITC with Cavan Enterprise Board participants I stated that I would put theory into pratice and generate a blog.  My issue at that time and still is would I have the ability to generate content to keep it active and interesting. I’m now testing my ability so bear with me!

Yet again there was a great selection of projects from schools around County Louth. Students entered projects in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior category, 34 companies in total.  Ranging from an avid bee keeper, generating honey for the market, concert organisers raising thousands of euros for charities  to students creating, designing and printing educational posters for the teaching sector.  Good luck to the winners in the National Finals!
